HORWIN AA150 –  is a low-profile VHF antenna of increased strength for use on moving objects. Structurally, the antenna is a variation of a vertical quarter-wave short-circuited double loop (loop) vibrator with a capacitive load. All elements of the antenna have a galvanic connection with the metal base, which provides protection against the ingress of high voltage from the roof high-voltage equipment or contact network when using the antenna on electrically moving objects. The antenna is installed on a flat metal surface, which acts as a counterweight for it, with a sufficient projection overlapping area. Optimum alignment of the antenna at a lower frequency range is ensured with a surface area of ≥1.5 m². with the central location of the antenna. The central operating frequency is adjusted by changing the position of the capacitive load element.
